Suvitech is pleased to announce that it has won multiple awards – including the GOLDEN TIGER AWARD, at the ASEAN SME TIGER AWARDS ceremony held on September 20^th 2011, in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. These awards were an integral part of the two-day South East Asian SME Forum, organised by leading French business information group – naseba. The awards are designed to recognise and reward the best performing SMEs in the region for their outstanding achievements in several categories.

Suvitech won the prestigious GOLDEN TIGER AWARD, which is awarded to the company judged to excel in all categories. As the star performer of SMEs in ASEAN region for this year, Suvitech will be automatically be nominated for the upcoming Asia Pacific SME Tiger Awards.

In addition to the Golden Tiger Award, the other category awards won by Suvitech are:

MARKETING EXCELLENCE AWARD

This award honours the organisation that demonstrated the most successful marketing initiative results in 2010. Suvitech won GOLD in this category.

DYNAMIC GROWTH AWARD

This award honours the organisation that demonstrated the most improved growth over a three-year period. Suvitech won SILVER in this category.

INNOVATION AWARD

This award honours the organisation which produced innovative products or services that have broken conventional processes or gone beyond marginal improvements in existing products and services. Suvitech won SILVER in this category.

During his acceptance speech for the GOLDEN TIGER AWARD, Mr. Ravi Bhatia, Chief Operating Officer of Suvitech Company Limited, said “We have input a lot of hard work into the company and are very pleased to have been recognized for the hard work by the TIGER AWARD panelists”. He also thanked naseba for organizing such an event and paid tribute to other finalists at the event saying that “most of the SMEs in ASEAN region are from developing economies and face a lot of challenges to gain access to finance, so all the SMEs who have made it to the finals of this event deserve to be applauded for their entrepreneurship”.

In addition, Suvitech has been shortlisted as one of the finalists in APICTA 2011 (Asia pacific ICT) Awards, which are due to be held in Pattaya, Thailand in November this year.

The South East Asian SME Forum and Tiger Awards were inaugurated by Hon Gwendolyn F Garcia – Governor of the Province of Cebu, Philippines and Guritno Kusumo – Ministry Secretary, The State Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, The Republic of Indonesia.The two-day initiative was endorsed by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry and organised by French business information group naseba.The forum had also featured regional experts discussing a variety of SME-related topics. Suvitech has been awarded TICTA 2011 (Thailand ICT Awards) in eGovernment & Services category. The award ceremony was held at the TICTA Expo 2011, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok on September 7, 2011. The TICTA award selection process is managed by Association of Thai ICT Industry (ATCI) and is supported by Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) and Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA). The high standard of the finalists reflect the increasing maturity and sophistication of the software being developed in the Thai ICT industry.

Suvitech has been selected as a finalist of TICTA or Thailand ICT Awards 2011. The TICTA award selection process is managed by Association of Thai ICT Industry (ATCI) and is supported by Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) and Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA). Making it to final round is itself an achievement reflecting the increasing maturity and sophistication of the software being developed in the Thai ICT industry. The winner of TICTA awards will be announced in September, following which the TICTA winner will represent Thailand in the prestigious Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards.

Suvitech sponsored the Engineering Student Talent Award (ETSA) 2011, conducted in joint collaboration by Rajamangla University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT) and Indian Institute of Technology Alumni Association of Thailand (IITAAT). Students from more than 15 universities in Thailand appeared in an engineering exam designed jointly by IITAAT and RMUTT to seek out and promote talented students in engineering field. This annual event is set to go international next year when there will be participants from universities in other South East Asian countries as well.
